There was a time in my not so distant past that my microwave oven looked like a crime scene. My kids use the microwave regularly, and I told them and expected them to clean up behind themselves. But if you have ever spent any time with a 13-year-old, you know that they often forget or don’t hear everything you say. In turn, the microwave would go weeks if not months before it was cleaned.
I decided to give up on my teens cleaning it after every use. I decided to add it to my list of things I do once a month. Since I do have things that I do once a month, there are weeks when I have to do multiple things. That sucks! But what I have found is that most jobs are pretty simple and if done regularly, go by quickly.
I have 2 things on my list this week. Organize my magazine rack and clean the microwave. The magazine rack is scheduled to get cleaned/organized once a year. I’ll go into my steps on going through it on another date. Below is how it looks today.
