This month’s Birchbox was a little lighter than those in past months. For some subscription boxes, this would upset me, but not with Birchbox. I find this subscription is always full of something new, exciting and I often feel fortunate to find something I can add to my beauty routine.
A little light, but quality products this month.
Bain de Terre– Macadamia Oil Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner
I stopped using shampoo to clean my hair a while back. I’ve been doing co-washes and conditioning cleansers (Wen products). I have been reading a lot of blogs written by people with natural hair and most of them do shampoo once a month. I think I may try that with this set. I love that it contains monoi oils, I’ve been on a search for products with monoi oils!
Total Value -3.61
Benefit– Fake Up- This is a new thing for me. This is an under eye concealer. I love the container. It looks like a lipstick tube. According to the directions, I just swipe this under my eye and use my finger to blend. Fake it until you wake up. I definitely could use this.
Karuna Clarifying Mask– I am a sucker for a mask. I typically will buy any and all facial masks. You can imagine how delighted I was when I saw this. Never used it, but 100% ready to try it.
This month included a Birchbox Find (a mass-market discovery that Birchbox thinks is just plain awesome), Chapstick Hydration Lock. I opened this up immediately and tried it. LOVED it. According to this little card this chapstick can be used as a primer to lock in moisture from 9-5. I completely agree. I would have never purchased this and after using for a few days, this is a new staple for me.
I paid $10 for this box and received @ $15.00 worth of products. Again, not the heaviest box ever, but each item will be used and I found a new must have item. Two thumbs, way up for this Birchbox!
Do you get Birchbox? What did you get this month?
